The remaining 16 WTA Indian Wells matches will be completed on Day 4. 2025 Australian Open champion Madison Keys and six-time Grand Slam winner Iga Swiatek are among those scheduled to play. As always, we here at LWOT predict all the matches, including Elena Rybakina vs Hailey Baptiste, Mirra Andreeva vs Solana Sierra, and Jessica Pegula vs Donna Vekic, in our articles.
WTA Indian Wells Day 4 Predictions
Maria Sakkari vs Lilli Tagger
Head-to-head: First meeting
18-year-old Tagger played excellently against Varvara Gracheva in the previous round. Sakkari’s playing style of attacking more with her forehand and generally being more solid in the rallies presents a different challenge for the teenager. I expect this to be a close battle that Sakkari wins by effectively bringing her forehand into play enough times over the course of the match.
Prediction: Sakkari in 3
Belinda Bencic vs Storm Hunter
Head-to-head: Bencic 1-0 Hunter
Hunter has triumphed three times since qualifying, including coming from behind against Magdalena Frech in her last match. However, I do not anticipate Bencic facing many issues here. Hunter usually has to play near best to win WTA main draw matches. Bencic is significantly better in all areas, and this could be the ideal opening round match for her.
Prediction: Bencic in 2
Iga Swiatek vs Kayla Day
Head-to-head: First meeting
There is not much pressure on World No. 187 Day. She performed terrifically to beat Francesca Jones 6-3 6-1, but playing Swiatek at a tournament where she has been very successful will be an entirely different challenge. Day does not possess any weapons to hurry the Pole. A poor performance from Swiatek would be needed to make an upset possible.
Prediction: Swiatek in 2
Madison Keys vs Diane Parry
Head-to-head: First meeting
Parry’s game could cause Keys problems. The Frenchman’s topspin forehand and slice give her a chance of getting the home favorite bending and moving, which is usually important to beating her. Nonetheless, I still feel Keys’s superior firepower, especially into Parry’s backhand, makes her the more likely winner.
Prediction: Keys in 3
