The OCEARCH Shark Tracker app on Friday revealed that a tagged great white shark named Cayo was hugging North Carolina coast, specifically near Emerald Isle, Onslow Beach, and Huggins Beach.OCEARCH stated Saturday via social media: “BE ADVISED–WHITE SHARK CAYO.”

The post was to advise that the shark was “tight to the beach” and not meant to alarm residents.Cayo was tagged as a 10-foot, 3-inch, 689-pound juvenile female white shark.
