Fans of the Universal monster franchise will have a rare opportunity to see the original film cast reunited in Orlando this month.
Brandon Fraser & Stars of ‘The Mummy’ Coming to MEGACON
The cast of Universal’s 1999 “The Mummy” film is scheduled to appear at MEGACON Orlando 2026, occurring later this month from March 19–22.
According to the MEGACON website, actors Brendan Fraser, John Hannah, Patricia Velasquez, and Oded Fehr will attend the event as celebrity guests and potentially partake in a panel discussion to reflect on their time together working on the “The Mummy” franchise.
The Orlando panel, titled THE MUMMY: PATRICIA VELASQUEZ, JOHN HANNAH, ODED FEHR, is currently scheduled for Saturday, March 21, at 5:45 pm in “ROOM W110A – STAGE”. The event description on the convention website currently reads:
Relive the adventure, comedy, and desert chaos of The Mummy with members of the beloved cast. Expect behind the scenes shenanigans, action packed memories, and stories that bring the spirit of the 1999 classic roaring back to life.
At the time of writing, Brendan Fraser is notably absent from the panel discussion on the conference schedule. The site does suggest that he will still be in attendance at MEGACON Orlando, however, along with the other cast members listed.
In another exhibition of MEGACON this month in Cleveland, the full cast, including Fraser, is scheduled for a panel discussion together.
The panel description from the MEGACON Cleveland event details:
Join us for an unforgettable journey back to ancient Egypt as we reunite the legendary cast of The Mummy for a thrilling panel discussion. Brendan Fraser (Rick O’Connell), John Hannah (Jonathan Carnahan), Patricia Velasquez (Anck-Su-Namun), and Oded Fehr (Ardeth Bay) come together to share behind-the-scenes stories, hilarious memories, and epic tales from one of the most beloved adventure films of all time.
In any event, all four cast members will be available independently for celebrity photo opportunities and autograph sessions. Notably, these experiences are offered as add-ons to regular convention admission, with pricing varying by celebrity.
The reunion is especially notable for Orlando-area fans, as Universal Orlando Resort – located near the convention center – features the Revenge of the Mummy indoor roller coaster inspired by the film series.
MEGACON Orlando itself is one of the largest fan conventions in the United States, celebrating comics, sci-fi, anime, gaming, horror, and other pop-culture fandoms. The 2026 event is scheduled for March 19–22 at the Orange County Convention Center, where thousands of fans will gather for celebrity panels, merchandise vendors, cosplay competitions, and fan experiences spanning multiple genres.
