There was plenty of movement this week, with LSU taking a big tumble from No. 2 to No. No. 21 after a shocking 1-4 week that featured a series loss to Sacramento State. Florida dropped seven spots, from No. 8 to No. 15, after losing two of three to High Point.
USC, one of two undefeated teams, jumped from No. 24 to No. 17 after sweeping Illinois to open Big Ten play. Southern Miss, which beat Mississippi State on Tuesday, continued its climb and is now sixth. Wake Forest was another big mover. The Demon Deacons have won 15 straight after sweeping Stanford in Winston-Salem.
Miami dropped out of the ranking after losing a home series to Boston College. UTSA (13-2) makes its first appearance of the season.
