A man has been charged in connection with a crash that killed a Forsyth County Sheriff’s deputy.Trooper Whit Efird of the North Carolina State Highway Patrol said Bryan Castillo is charged with second-degree murder, reckless driving, speeding, and driving left of center. Castillo was initially charged with misdemeanor death by vehicle before it was upgraded, according to Forsyth County District Attorney Jim O’Neill.Warrants also revealed that Castillo was driving 100 mph in a 55 mph zone. On Saturday, Forsyth County Sheriff’s Deputy Kaleb Mitchell died in a crash while “serving and protecting,” according to the Sheriff’s Office.
