Late last week, Vivo confirmed both main and periscope telephoto camera details when it comes to its upcoming X300 Ultra flagship. Well, the final piece of the puzzle (at least as far as most important cameras are concerned) has just been shared, as the Vivo X300 Ultra’s ultrawide camera has been revealed.
The Vivo X300 Ultra will feature a large 50-megapixel ultrawide camera; details shared
According to Han Boxiao, Vivo’s Product Manager, the Vivo X300 Ultra will feature a 50-megapixel ultrawide camera. Vivo will make use of the Sony LYT-818, aka LYTIA 818 sensor. That is a 1/1.28-inch camera sensor. The lens is expected to offer a focal length of 14mm.
This ultrawide camera sensor is larger than most main camera sensors in phones out there. The Vivo X200 Ultra didn’t disappoint in the ultrawide camera department, which is usually an afterthought, and its successor won’t either, it seems.
What’s also interesting is that Vivo hid another camera sensor under the sunglasses emoji; it seems you can see that in the image below. You can see main, periscope telephoto, and ultrawide camera sensors, but not that unexpected fourth one.

We’re not sure what that is, but it could be the rumored 5-megapixel multispectral sensor. Either way, we’ll find out in the near future. Speaking of cameras, let’s quickly mention what Vivo announced last week.
Its main and periscope telephoto camera sensors will be especially impressive
The main camera will use Sony’s LYT-901 aka LYTIA 901 sensor, a camera sensor everyone wanted. This is Sony’s new flagship camera sensor, a 200-megapixel one. It is a 1/1.12-inch sensor with a bunch of new tech.
The periscope telephoto camera sensor, on the other hand, will also be a 200-megapixel unit. Vivo will use the ISOCELL HP0 sensor with ZEISS optics and a large 3-degree OIS system here.
Vivo, during MWC 2026, confirmed that the X300 Ultra will launch globally. That’s a first for Vivo’s ‘Ultra’ series. Its telephoto camera extender has also been announced during MWC 2026 in Barcelona.
We’re still not sure when the phone will officially launch, but it’s rumored to arrive before the end of the month. We’re not sure if Chinese and global launches will be separate; if yes, then the global version could arrive a bit later on.
A 6,800mAh battery is seemingly coming
Also, it’s worth noting that a battery rumor appeared. It comes from a well-known tipster, Ice Universe, who claims that a 6,800mAh battery will be used. Vivo is really looking to cover all bases with this phone.
