Boston Celtics superstar Jaylen Brown played just 15 minutes in the loss to the San Antonio Spurs on Tuesday night, getting ejected after not getting a foul call following a shove from Spurs guard Stephon Castle. As play continued on, Brown was seen running down the court on defense, screaming at referee Tyler Ford who gave him time to vent frustration before assessing him a technical foul.
Brown would not stop there, as he would then begin to start walking away until turning back around and had to be restrained by teammates, leading to his ejection from referee Suyash Mehta and not Ford. In the first game between the Spurs and Celtics earlier this season, Brown vented about the lack of foul calls he and the Celtics received, and stayed with that point of emphasis following his ejection.

The Celtics star took to social media shortly after being kicked out of the game and expressed his frustration over the lack of foul calls that he and the team receive. “This is the (expletive) I be talking about,” Brown said on his X profile.

This was only the second ejection in Jaylen Brown’s career, the first coming back in 2023 when he received two technical fouls against the New York Knicks after disagreeing with referees. The Celtics and Brown will now look to bounce back from Tuesday’s chaotic loss to the Spurs when they travel to Oklahoma City on Thursday, matching up with the No. 1 team in the West and the reigning NBA champions.
