[DIKE, Iowa] — The Fox Ridge Golf Course in Dike is now on the market for $3.4 million.

Owner Scott Covalt announced the decision during an open meeting at the clubhouse, which was attended by many community members. Covalt encouraged those interested in preserving the golf course to collaborate on purchasing it.

“I’ve asked people around here to start thinking about how you can own and run the course if that’s a thing,” Covalt said. He emphasized that he will no longer invest his time, money, or energy into the golf course.

While Covalt expressed his preference to sell the property as a whole, he mentioned the possibility of selling it in individual pieces if necessary. However, he stated that this is not his primary goal.

The property listing highlights the 172 acres available, with potential for medium and high-density residential development along three fairways.

No official deadline has been set for offers, and attendees at the meeting questioned the $3.4 million asking price. Covalt said he aims to recoup his investment and spend more time with his loved ones.
