Matthew Fox made rare comments about his quiet life in Italy after leaving Hollywood more than a decade ago.

“I love it,” the “Lost” alum said of living abroad on Wednesday’s episode of “Jimmy Kimmel Live!”

Fox shared that he’s doing his best to learn the native language.

“I’m getting there,” he said. “It’s not an easy language to learn, but I’m learning it.”

Despite not being fluent in Italian, Fox, a licensed private pilot, is still able to fly in his new home country.

“The language of aviation is English, even in Europe,” he explained, confirming that’s also the case in Asian countries as well.

“Lucky for us. No wonder everyone hates us,” Kimmel, 58, quipped.

“Exactly,” Fox replied with a laugh.

Fox was famous for his roles in “Party of Five,” which ran from 1994 to 2000, and “Lost,” which aired from 2004 to 2013, after which he largely stepped away from acting.

During a recent interview with Variety, Fox said he took his acting hiatus “to engage really intensely with my family.”

“I had missed some of their childhood because I was on set all the time with ‘Lost’ and doing films and promoting everything,” he said of his kids, Byron, now 25, and Kyle, now 28, whom he shares with wife Margherita Ronchi.

“It was the right moment for me to step back and take a moment and engage with the people that I love and care about the most in the world,” he added.

In 2008, Fox told People that his family was considering moving to Oregon for a quieter life.

“I enjoy fishing, hiking and skiing,” he shared. “The mountains and fresh air and all these things are available pretty easily in Oregon without having to drive a long distance.”

Fox is back in the spotlight for his role in the new Taylor Sheridan series “The Madison,” which centers on a New York City family who relocates to Montana’s Madison River Valley after a devastating plane crash kills two relatives.

The show also stars Michelle Pfeiffer, Kurt Russell and Patrick J. Adams.

On “Jimmy Kimmel Live!,” Fox said the show’s script was “fantastic.”

However, Fox said he couldn’t divulge more about the project since “there’s too many spoilers.”

“But it’s a great series,” he added.

“The Madison” premieres March 14 on Paramount+.
