Car hits utility pole in southeast Raleigh, hundreds without power in the area :: WRAL.com

Part of Barwell Road is closed Sunday morning near Poole Road in southeast Raleigh.

Just before 3 a.m., a car crashed and hit a pole, taking down multiple power lines.

The WRAL Breaking News Tracker captured the damage to a red car in the woodline.

Nobody was hurt in this crash, but power is out for nearly 600 customers in the area. 

Raleigh police said there is no timeline for when the road will reopen.
