In a reality dating show where age is just a number, 38-year-old Andrew Wheeler, a Federal Hill bar owner, makes his Netflix debut.
The show, “Age of Attraction,” which aired its first episodes on March 11, brings together 40 single people, ranging from ages 22 to 60 years old, to a picturesque, outdoor retreat near Whistler, Canada.
The singles are free to mingle and date as they please, but they must obey one rule: Do not reveal your age.
Once a couple commits to each other, they move from the retreat to Vancouver to try living together.
Wheeler, a father of two girls and the owner of Federal Hill’s Locals Only, is on the lookout for his wife and life partner, he tells viewers in the first episode. While he typically dates younger women, he said he is trying to “turn over a new leaf.”
“I’m Jude Law in The Holiday,” Wheeler said according to his Netflix biography. “I want my fairy-tale ending.” In the first episode, the Baltimorean also describes himself as a “young, hot dad” who still wants to have fun.
As the singles file into the retreat and go on their first dates, sparks begin to fly. From the start, Wheeler seems to hit it off with Libby Vodicka, a social media manager from San Diego.
If you want to know if Wheeler finds his match, you can watch a handful of episodes that are already out. The final episodes will be released on March 18 and 25.
