Conan O’Brien jabs Timothee Chalamet over ‘ballet and opera’ remarks
Oscars host Conan O’Brien teased Best Actor nominee Timothee Chalamet over his controversial ‘ballet and opera’ remarks.
‘Security is extremely tight tonight. I’m just going to mention that,’ he said as he kicked off his opening remarks.
‘I’m told there’s a concern about a tax from both the opera and ballet communities.’
O’Brien jabbed, ‘They’re just mad he left out jazz.’
Chalamet found himself in the midst of controversy while campaigning for a golden statuette after he said he does not want to work in ballet or opera, as ‘no one cares about it.’
