UPDATE, 8:57 p.m. — The Casper Police Department found no suspicious devices or hazards Sunday night after a reported bomb threat at the east-side Walmart Supercenter.

Officers and public safety partners searched the building and surrounding area after the initial report at 7:35 p.m. Police said the threat is unfounded.

The Casper Police Department and emergency personnel evacuated the store to conduct a search. Authorities said they took the report seriously and moved to ensure the safety of employees and customers.

Police have cleared the scene and the area is safe for the public.

CASPER, Wyo. — The Casper Police Department has evacuated the Walmart Supercenter at 4400 E. Second St. after a reported bomb threat Sunday night.

Officers and emergency personnel responded to the east-side store at 7:35 p.m. Police said the store was evacuated out of caution while officers investigated the report.

Authorities have not confirmed a threat at this time.

The Casper Police Department asked the public to avoid the area to allow first responders to manage the situation safely.
