Eric Morris and Oklahoma State are closing in on a key 2027 quarterback.
Iowa Colony, Texas, quarterback Carson White is predicted to land with the Cowboys, according to a new report by Rivals on Friday. White is a three-star prospect and the No. 31-ranked quarterback in the Class of 2027.
White stopped by campus in Stillwater earlier this month, as Oklahoma State prepares for its first round of spring football under the Morris regime. White was part of the football program’s “Elite Junior Day,” held March 7, featuring several key names on the team’s recruiting board, like Jaiden Fields and Izzy Hammons.
It’s a new world for Oklahoma State football, which installs much of what made North Texas such a success under Morris in three seasons as head coach.
Sean Brophy, the Cowboys’ new offensive coordinator and quarterbacks coach, has been closely tied to Morris through stops at North Texas, Incarnate Word, and Washington State. The combo brought 4,841-yard passer Drew Mestemaker with them in the jump to Stillwater.
