A tip from New Hampshire has led Massachusetts police to human remains that could belong to a woman last seen in January 2025. Authorities said the investigation began last week when police received a call from someone in Nashua who reported that a friend told him he had killed a woman named Jill and buried her beneath the floor of his garage. Police searched the Tyngsborough home of Shawn Sullivan and found a patch of the garage floor measuring about 5 feet by 3 feet. Radar confirmed something below the surface. Investigators cut through the floor and recovered human remains. Authorities believe the remains may belong to Jill Kloppenburg. The district attorney said investigators believe Sullivan knew Kloppenburg and that she had visited his home. Sullivan is scheduled to be arraigned Tuesday on multiple charges, including murder.

Police searched the Tyngsborough home of Shawn Sullivan and found a patch of the garage floor measuring about 5 feet by 3 feet. Radar confirmed something below the surface.
Investigators cut through the floor and recovered human remains. Authorities believe the remains may belong to Jill Kloppenburg.
Kloppenburg was reported missing to the Tewksbury Police Department in February 2025.

“The investigators were subsequently able to cut through the floor of the garage and recover a bag, a plastic bag containing what has been confirmed by the medical examiner as human remains,” Middlesex District Attorney Marian Ryan said.
Sullivan is currently being held on a murder charge connected to a “Jane Doe” because the remains have not yet been identified.
The district attorney said investigators believe Sullivan knew Kloppenburg and that she had visited his home.
Sullivan is scheduled to be arraigned Tuesday on multiple charges, including murder.
