Venezuela booked a spot alongside the United States in the 2026 World Baseball Classic final thanks to a seventh-inning rally led by Ronald Acuna Jr.
Acuna was one of three Venezuelan hitters to produce a RBI single in the seventh inning of the 4-2 victory. Maikel Garcia and Luis Arraez also drove in runs on base knocks.

The United States, led by Aaron Judge and Bryce Harper, will be playing for its second WBC title. Team USA won the 2017 title and took second behind Japan in 2023
Acuna and Venezuela will feature in its first-ever WBC final. The country’s best previous finish was third place in 2009.
