The initial wave of free agency has calmed, putting the 2026 NFL Draft firmly in our sights. Which prospects are rising or falling now that we’re a couple of weeks removed from the scouting combine?

Our consensus NFL Draft board combines rankings from a wide range of experts to identify how the top prospects are viewed relative to the rest of the class. In theory, by the time we reach draft weekend, these rankings should help give us a handle on how the picks could (or, at least, should) play out.

One of the bigger mysteries of this draft cycle is who will be the first offensive tackle taken in April.

There have been two names, Miami’s Francis Mauigoa and Utah’s Spencer Fano, near the top of our consensus big board for the last few months — but neither has gained a big advantage over the other. Add in that Fano didn’t have the best measurements at the NFL Scouting Combine in Indianapolis, and there has been even more doubt cast on the pecking order.

But a new name also has entered the chat: Georgia’s Monroe Freeling. He had an awesome combine and has certainly thrown his hat in the OT1 ring, as he’s jumped 12 spots on our latest big board, all the way up to No. 17. (Mauigoa is still the highest-rated offensive tackle, at No. 10; Fano hasn’t fallen too far, at No. 12.)

With the trio bunched so tightly together, any of the three could emerge as the first tackle off the board in Round 1.
