Amanda H. Gima, a financial advisor with Raymond James & Associates’ Asia Pacific Group, earned a Certified Investment Management Analyst, CIMA, designation, one of the most respected credentials in advanced investment management.

The CIMA certification, awarded by the Investment & Wealth Institute, is recognized globally for its rigorous, multi-step qualification process.

This includes executive education conducted through Yale School of Management, an extensive background review, and a comprehensive examination.

The curriculum emphasizes advanced investment concepts, including alternative investments, portfolio construction, risk management, and performance analysis, ensuring advisors remain aligned with evolving global market demands and institutional standards.

“Earning the CIMA designation represents my commitment to bringing a higher level of investment knowledge and discipline to the clients I serve,” Gima said in a statement. “I’m honored to join this group of professionals dedicated to elevating the standard of investment management on Guam.”

Gima, a proud daughter of Guam who graduated from Southern High School in 2004, is now one of only two women advisors on Guam to earn the CIMA designation and one of five total CIMA holders on the island, all of whom serve clients from the Raymond James Guam office.

She earned a bachelor’s degree from New York University in 2008 and has served as a financial advisor with Raymond James & Associates since 2020, working primarily with institutional and high-net-worth clients.

Gima’s practice focuses on comprehensive financial planning, portfolio design, and disciplined investment management strategies.

With the CIMA certification, Gima is distinguished for her mastery of institutional-level portfolio construction and investment analysis, further enhancing her ability to design sophisticated strategies for asset allocation, risk mitigation, and long-term portfolio performance, Raymond James & Associates’ Asia Pacific Group said in a media release.

“We’re thrilled to congratulate Amanda on earning the CIMA. Her dedication to excellence and continued professional growth enables her to provide even higher-quality service and specialized financial guidance to our clients,” Jason Miyashita, managing director of Asia Pacific Group of Raymond James, said in a statement.

Besides the CIMA designation, Gima holds multiple advanced industry designations, including accredited investment fiduciary, accredited asset management specialist, certified plan fiduciary advisor, and chartered SRI counselor.
