Forta Cosmetics, an endeavor for athletes, plans a launch with sweat-resistant products on March 31. Lexie Hull and Sarah Guller co-founded the company Forta in early 2025. While the launch creates a stir, one notable social media comment from a basketball star, Caitlin Clark, stands out. Clark’s standout FIBA qualifiers performance in San Juan fuels Team USA’s flawless 5-0 mark.
After the final USA game, the Indiana Fever guard asked the brand to send a public relations package to her former teammate, Jada Gyamfi from the University of Iowa, on Tuesday.
“All eyes on FORTA. 03.31.26,” FORTA captioned.
WNBA superstar commented 4 hours after the post went live:
“Send @jadagyamfi pr”.
Clark is leveraging her teammate Hull’s new brand launch to playfully request a free PR (public relations) package for Gyamfi.
Gyamfi and Clark once gaped at a car accident in the snow near the College of Dentistry. During an episode of Fresh Tawk in 2024, the group called the driver “Johnny Crash” after Gyamfi lost control on the ice.
“I was pressing the pap, and I was like Gabby [it ‘s not stopping],” Gyamfi said. “I had that’s never happened to me before on ice at least, but I was like kind of fun Johnny crash.”
They shared a unique bond during their tenure in Iowa City. Clark, who was Fever’s first round, first overall pick, said:
“I think that’s like our culture is really different too, so that’s what I definitely miss about it is just like randomly showing up at your guys’ apartments and like chilling and hanging out after practice or going to dinner or whatever, it was like that’s definitely what you missed the most”.
Clark also joked about her childhood dream of opening a barbecue restaurant called the Rib Crib. She felt disappointment when the planned location was used to build a retirement home instead.
“I was devastated when the lot got purchased, and they built a retirement home on it,” she said.
“Every time I drove by it, I told my mom I’m like that’s my liot this is where I’m going to build the Rib Crib I wanted to have a restaurant.”
So, by prompting Forta to support Gyamfi, the WNBA star ensures her friend remains an asset even while sidelined.
