Coronation Street spoilers follow from Thursday’s episode (19 March), which is available to watch now on ITVX and YouTube but hasn’t aired on ITV1 yet.

Coronation Street’s Megan Walsh storyline takes another dramatic twist tonight as the Driscoll family uncover a baby bombshell. Could this be the proof they need to bring her to justice?

Megan is desperately fighting for her future after being caught out for grooming local teen Will Driscoll but, in the absence of firm evidence, she refuses to accept her fate quietly.

In tonight’s episode, Megan faces stern questioning at the police station over her history with Will.

She sticks to their pre-arranged cover story, claiming that Will developed an inappropriate crush on her when she became his athletics coach but she rejected him. Will also repeats this lie during his own interview with DC Kit Green.

Despite this, things still aren’t looking good for Megan. The secret video footage that Sam Blakeman recorded proves that she was alone in a flat with Will outside of coaching hours, suggesting how close they were.

The Driscolls also hope that the police tech team can somehow retrieve wiped CCTV footage from the Chariot Square Hotel, as Will and Megan had a room booked there on his 16th birthday.

Meanwhile, when Leanne decides to kick Megan out and rummages through her belongings, she discovers pregnancy vitamins. As Will could be the father, Leanne grimly reports back to Eva, Ben, Toyah and Ollie.

The group reflects on Megan’s recent abortion claims, recalling how she treated Leanne as a confidante a few weeks earlier. Unsure what to believe, Leanne declares that something still isn’t adding up.

When Toyah notes that the baby has gone, Leanne replies: “Or has it? Why would you keep pregnancy vitamins in your bedside table if you’d had an abortion?”

Eva adds: “Well, if she has lied, then all the evidence we need is growing right there in her belly…”

Has Megan’s fate been sealed?

Coronation Street has worked on Will and Megan’s grooming storyline with support from Barnardo’s. Support and information is available via the charity’s website.

Coronation Street airs on weeknights at 8.30pm on ITV1 and streams on ITVX.
