The ATP Miami Open 2026 edition is underway with top seeds in action in what is a jam-packed draw. The second Masters 1000 of the season should be on par with, if not better than, the recently concluded Indian Wells tournament in terms of tennis quality. As ever, we preview and predict all the scheduled matches for you on Day 2. But who will advance?

ATP Miami Day 2 Predictions
Martin Damm vs Jacob Fearnley

Head-to-head – First Meeting

Martin Damm and Jacob Fearnley both enter this match without momentum. Damm did reach the semifinals in Montpellier but hasn’t built on that result, while Fearnley has also struggled to make an impact recently. It’s a tough one to call, but Fearnley’s slightly higher ranking and greater experience at this level could give him the edge. Expect a physical battle, with Fearnley just edging it.

Prediction: Fearnley in 3

Miomir Kecmanovic vs Kamil Majchrzak

Head-to-head – Kecmanovic 3-0 Majchrzak

Miomir Kecmanovic holds a 3–0 head-to-head advantage and comes into this matchup as the more consistent player. Kamil Majchrzak is a solid baseliner and Poland’s top player, but he can be prone to errors under pressure. Kecmanovic’s steadier groundstrokes and ability to construct points should give him control of the rallies. Expect the Serb to dictate play and come through.

Prediction: Kecmanovic in 2

Francisco Comesana vs Alejandro Tabilo

Head-to-head – First Meeting

Francisco Comesana and Alejandro Tabilo are both well-suited to clay, but their recent form differs. Comesana exited early in Indian Wells, while Tabilo enjoyed a solid run during the South American clay swing. The Chilean looks stronger from the baseline and more reliable on serve. Expect Tabilo to control the match and come through comfortably.

Prediction: Tabilo in 2

Matteo Arnaldi vs Alexander Shevchenko

Head-to-head – First Meeting

Matteo Arnaldi has endured a poor start to 2026, including a heavy loss in Indian Wells, and is yet to find any rhythm despite his solid baseline game. Alexander Shevchenko, on the other hand, has shown promise even in defeat this season and brings a more aggressive style. His ability to take the initiative and apply pressure could trouble Arnaldi.

Prediction: Shevchenko in 3
