Coronation Street spoilers follow.
Coronation Street’s Carla Connor could well make a terrible mistake next week, when Jodie Ramsey offers to take baby Connie off her hands. Will Carla be convinced to trust her troubled neighbour with babysitting duties?
In the garden of No.6, Carla and Lisa Swain fawn over the child they’ve recently taken under their wing. But the cute moment is interrupted when Jodie spots them from over the fence and claims she’d be more than happy to babysit if they ever needed help.

“Carla and Lisa have no idea how twisted Jodie is,” warns our Corrie spy. “Jodie gets creepier by the day, but the most worrying incident is when she pretended to be baby Harper Platt’s mum to another parent at the hospital.
“Jodie clearly got kicks out of that, so could she be offering to mind Connie for the same, mysterious reason that she told that lie? Here’s hoping that Swain’s detective instincts prick up if there is something odd going on…”
Jodie is quick to assure Carla that she’s fully qualified to care for Connie in her absence. Is Jodie’s word enough to persuade Carla to hire her?
Earlier in the week, Betsy Swain and Dylan Wilson also let Carla and Lisa know that they’re willing to look after Connie while they’re busy at work.
Having been trusted with the job, Betsy and Dylan snuggle up on the sofa while Connie is asleep. But how will the rest of the babysitting stint go for the two teenagers?

“Betsy and Dylan should have it all in hand,” continues our source. “Technically, they’re old enough to care for a baby, but still, something could go wrong if they don’t keep their eyes on the ball. Plus, Carla and Lisa are hardly the most laidback of customers, so anything not to their liking could land Dylan and Betsy in hot water!”
But when Jodie makes her approach, will Carla hand over responsibility for her baby niece? And given Jodie’s odd pattern of behaviour, might she have an ulterior motive in mind?
Coronation Street airs on weeknights at 8.30pm on ITV1 and streams on ITVX.
