BILL, I’M AT CLOVELLY ROAD AND UNION STREET, WHERE FREMONT FIRE DEPARTMENT WAS HERE A FEW HOURS AGO, AND NOW THEY ARE BACK. AND AS YOU CAN SEE BEHIND ME, THEY ARE HOSING DOWN THE BUILDING. AS YOU REMEMBER EARLIER, THE BUILDING WAS SMOKING AND SO THEY ARE TAKING CARE OF IT NOW BY TRYING TO HOSE IT DOWN. TODAY WE LEARNED THAT 32 YEAR OLD DYLAN DANIELSON IS THE FATHER OF HAYES HAVEN AND FIRE, AND THE TWO GIRLS ARE HALF SISTERS. HERE’S WHAT THE FAMILY SHARED WITH US. HAVEN ATTENDED WAHOO PUBLIC SCHOOLS AND WAS A MEMBER OF THE WAHOO KIDS WRESTLING CLUB. THE DISTRICT SAYS THEY RECOGNIZE THIS HORRIBLE TRAGEDY AND SAYS THEY WILL CONTINUE TO SUPPORT THE FAMILY. THEY ADD COUNSELORS ON SITE FRIDAY FOR ANYONE WHO NEEDED IT. THE WRESTLING CLUB MADE A POST ON FACEBOOK, EXTENDING THEIR CONDOLENCES AND ADDING HER STRENGTH, SPIRIT AND BRIGHT SMILE LEFT A LASTING IMPACT ON ALL WHO KNEW HER. FIRE ATTENDED SHELBY RISING CITY SCHOOL AND THEY SAID THEIR HEARTS GO OUT TO THE FAMILIES, ADDING SHE HAD A FUN PERSONALITY AND ALWAYS HAD A SMILE ON HER FACE. THIS SCHOOL ALSO OPENED ITS DOORS FOR STUDENTS AND FAMILIES TO SPEAK WITH COUNSELORS. FIRE’S GOFUNDME CAMPAIGN SAYS SHE WAS A TAYLOR SWIFT FAN AND LOVED STITCH FROM THE LILO AND STITCH MOVIE. NO ONE FROM EITHER FAMILY IS COMFORTABLE WITH SPEAKING ON CAMERA AT THIS TIME. HAVEN AND FIRE’S FATHER, DYLAN DANIELSON, WORKED AT HORIZON BIOFUELS AND NEBRASKA STATE FIRE INVESTIGATORS THINK A DUST FIRE CAUSED THE EXPLOSION. SMOKE IS LINGERING BECAUSE FIREFIGHTERS CAN’T GET TO IT. MOST ROADS SURROUNDING THE PLANT ARE OPEN, EXCEPT FOR UNION STREET, WHICH IS STILL BLOCKED OFF. FREMONT MAYOR JOEY SPELLERBERG HELD A NEWS CONFERENCE WEDNESDAY GIVING THOUGHTS AND PRAYERS TO THESE FAMILIES. THIS IS A DIFFICULT SITUATION TO DEAL WITH, BUT KNOWING THAT WHAT WE HAVE UP HERE AND TO SEE NEBRASKA AND FREMONT BE ABLE TO COME TOGETHER AND RALLY TOGETHER RIGHT NOW, WE HAVE EVERY RESOURCE THAT WE CAN COMING TO THIS SITE, AND SO WE WILL JUST CONTINUE TO DO THAT. SO WE’LL CONTINUE TO PRAY. LIFT UP THE FAMILIES INVOLVED AND WE’LL CONTINUE TO RALLY AROUND THEM. AND THE BUILDING BEHIND ME IS STILL VERY SLIGHTLY SMOKING UP AT THE TOP UP THERE.
