NEW BERN, N.C. (WITN) – The ‘New Bern Strong’ mural has been painted over.
The mural, formerly located at 328 South Front Street in Downtown New Bern, was painted over for the production of a new mural.
In a post by the Craven Arts Council / Bank of the Arts, the organization states, “We are deeply saddened to see this mural go.”
The post goes on to say that all community murals completed by the Craven Arts Council and Gallery in conjunction with a business or organization are ultimately at will and responsibility of whoever has ownership of the building.
The property of the formal mural was sold in 2025 by the new owner, King & Lasso.
