Border Computing opened in Galashiels on August 5, 1995, originally on 92 High Street before moving to its Market Square location 28 years ago.

Jonathan Packer, Border Computing founder, said: “For me, the business turning 30 has demonstrated that hard work and persistence pays off, we always have to be forward thinking and change along with the fast-paced tech industry.

“I want to take this opportunity to say a big thank you to all of our customers over the last 30 years and also to my team, Phil and Matt.

“With their hard work, dedication and knowledge, Border Computing can continue to move forward in a positive direction and deliver the high-quality service and products that it is known for.”

To celebrate the anniversary, the store is having a complete refit with flooring already in place and interior shop fitting soon.

The shop supplies, repairs and upgrades laptops, PCs, Apple Mac devices, phones and tablets serving many customers and businesses across the Borders and further afield.

The retailer also builds PCs for customers following their specific requirements.

Jonathan added: “This has been a differentiator for us over the years and it is very satisfying to be able to provide customers with a quality product delivering exactly what they need.”
