THE LAST FRONTIER — Alaska is easily one of the best places in the U.S. to see wildlife in its natural habitat.
Whether it’s moose, caribou, wolves, or, in this instance, bears, the state offers ample wildlife viewing that draws millions there every year.
This video captures an idyllic scene straight out of a wildlife documentary where a sow transports her cubs across some shallow water.
Well, all but one.
Perhaps the straggler cub had the sow at her wits’ end, or maybe she just didn’t want to carry all three at once, as one cub can be seen adorably paddling behind its mother and siblings.
Don’t worry, though, this little cub made it across the water just fine.
I had the chance to visit a friend who was living in Alaska a few years back, and while we did get to see some bear activity (from a distance), our most intimate encounter was waking up to the sound of a small black bear rummaging through the garbage bins outside of his house.
What type of animal encounter would you be hoping to see the most if you were in Alaska?
