Indiana Fever star Caitlin Clark may be making a major fashion change for the fast-approaching 2026 WNBA season after a lost 2025 season that was riddled with injuries

Caitlin Clark is back in the United States after helping guide Team USA to a perfect 5-0 record in the side’s recent FIBA qualifiers in Puerto Rico.
She’s hoping her 2026 WNBA season goes a little smoother than her 2025 campaign, when injuries limited her to just 13 games (though she still earned an All-Star berth while averaging 16.5 points a night).
While back in her native West Des Moines, Iowa, Clark is trying one new thing while hoping to avoid the injury bug . . . a new hairstyle. She visited local cutter Bella Grundy for a new look this week, as shared by Grundy’s Instagram account, which posted “Curls for Caitlin” and showed off curly hair.

“Obsessed,” the typically straight-haired Clark wrote under the post, attracting hundreds of likes while confirming the hair is in fact hers. Other gawking fans quickly followed in the comments section.
“Curls for the MVP!!!” one wrote. “This can’t be. This just can’t be! I don’t think I’ve ever seen her with curls,” another commented. “Can I get the CC cut & curls, please!” a different fan asked.
Another fan provided a detailed analysis. “In my opinion, the wavy hair softens her features and adds some fullness,” they wrote. “She has gorgeous hair, and the curls look beautiful!
One insinuated that they have inside information. “Brother’s wedding in Iowa. She straightens her hair for basketball,” they said. It’s certainly possible: Clark’s brother, Blake, was engaged to his longtime girlfriend in late 2024 and has yet to have a ceremony.

Clark was one of Team USA’s best players during the perfect Puerto Rico trip, averaging 11.6 points and 6.4 assists — the most in the tournament — in her five games.
“Fun being back out there. Always an honor @usabasketball,” she wrote as part of a color Instagram post chronicling the trip.

Additionally, longtime WNBA star Diana Taurasi allowed Clark to wear her No. 12 in USA colors. -“I couldn’t think of anyone better to take it,” she told Sports Illustrated about the move. “No one better to wear the 12, and Caitlin’s going to put some gold medals on that jersey.”
Without Clark, the Fever came just a game away from reaching the 2026 WNBA Finals (thanks to strong playoff performances from Aliyah Boston and Kelsey Mitchell). The team figures to be even better next season with their top playmaker returning.
