Nola Henry joined the Las Vegas Aces coaching staff after spending the 2025 WNBA season as an assistant coach with the Dallas Wings.

Henry is among four assistant coaches listed on head coach Becky Hammon’s staff, alongside Charlene Thomas-Swinson, Larry Lewis, and Ty Ellis.

The move for Henry comes after serving a key role on Chris Koclanes’ coaching staff, which ended with a 10-34 record. Dallas replaced Koclanes by hiring former University of South Florida head coach Jose Fernandez. Henry was not retained as part of the new staff.

Henry was hired by Dallas in January 2025, becoming one of the first two assistant coaches added to Koclanes’ inaugural staff. She came to the Wings after her time with the Los Angeles Sparks, where she had worked as a player development coach in 2023 before being promoted to assistant coach in 2024.

Her path to the Sparks — and later Dallas — ran through longtime mentor Curt Miller, who coached her during her time as an intern and, later, as assistant basketball operations manager with the Connecticut Sun beginning in 2020. Henry followed Miller to Los Angeles when he took the Sparks job, and again to Dallas when Miller was named the Wings’ general manager ahead of the 2025 season.

Henry also recently served as head coach of Rose BC in the inaugural season of Unrivaled. She guided Rose BC to the league’s first championship, defeating Teresa Weatherspoon’s Vinyl BC 62-54 in the title game. In 2026, Rose BC narrowly lost to Breeze in the first round of the playoffs.

Henry began her coaching career in 2018 as a graduate assistant at Fairleigh Dickinson and later served in the same capacity at Hartford before entering the WNBA.

As for the Wings, Dallas has not announced a finalized coaching staff for the 2026 season. Currently, only Camille Smith is listed as an assistant coach. However, Henry and Belle Koclanes are no longer listed after serving in assistant coaching roles, along with basketball operations figures Jhared Simpson (Director of Player Development) and Addison Lee (Director of Basketball Analytics and Strategy).
