It took Indiana Fever superstar Caitlin Clark eight long months to recover from a season-ending groin strain. The injury cut her second WNBA season short after just 13 games, and she put in a lot of work rehabbing to get back in shape.

Clark reaped the benefits of her hard work in the recently concluded FIBA Women’s World Cup Qualifying Tournament in San Juan, Puerto Rico. The 24-year-old made waves in her return to basketball, leading Team USA to a perfect 5-0 record in the qualifiers.

Clark was named the tournament’s MVP, and she made it seem like she never left.

Clark spent a lot of time in the gym during her rehab. Her groin injury limited her mobility, especially in the early stages of her road to recovery. This gave her more time to focus on her upper body, particularly in building muscle mass.

A new set of WNBA offseason photos starring Clark is currently making their rounds online. The pictures were posted by photographer Bri Lewerke, who has worked closely with the two-time All-Star and the Fever over the years.

The fans on social media quickly noticed the same thing about Clark’s physical appearance in the photos.

“The closeup of 💪🏻” a comment on Instagram read.

“💪🏻💪🏻 goals,” another said.

“Gains 💪🏻💪🏻💪🏻🖤🖤” a user wrote.

“4th pic: ‘Ayyyy you be studying my arrrmmsss,’” a reaction read.

“Those arms 👀👀” said another.

A couple of other fans had no words in their comments. Instead, they used the same GIF of Clark flexing, which again focuses on Clark’s muscular arms.

Being one of the best players in the WNBA has its drawbacks. For Clark, this includes opponents being overly physical with her during games. This isn’t new for the Fever star, though, and she’s fighting back by bulking up.
