NEWPORT, Ky. (WKRC) – An upscale indoor mini-golf experience at Newport on the Levee is expanding to include a new dining area in an adjacent former food hall.

Since its launch last August, Par 3 has attracted nearly 200,000 visitors seeking social competition and dining.

Moananui Haretuku, Par 3’s creator, plans to offer grab-and-go meals and desserts at affordable prices in the newly renovated 6,600-square-foot space, which is expected to open this month.

“The Levee has been evolving into a hub for unique experiences over the past few years, and we’ve been very pleased with how well Par 3 has performed so far,” said Haretuku. He added that the expansion was a natural fit, given the vacancy of the food hall and its direct connection to Par 3’s main entrance.

To create a seamless venue, part of the wall separating the spaces will be demolished, and a fresh paint scheme will be applied. Existing features such as two kitchens, a central bar, and an outdoor patio will remain, while new digital screens, food displays, and an ordering counter are being installed. Haretuku also plans to add another golf hole on the ground floor later this year.

The menu will feature higher-end fair foods, including large pizza slices, breadsticks, regular and cinnamon sugar pretzel bites, bunker fries, floats, and slushies, all served with an oversized flair.

“Par 3 has been a perfect fit at The Levee, providing over-the-top fun that appeals to a wide range of guests from families to young singles. This expansion will allow their team to better accommodate the community,” said Terry Ohnmeis, senior director of retail services at Cushman & Wakefield. Ohnmeis noted the market’s quick embrace of the concept and expressed confidence in the success of the new dining component.

The expansion follows the recent grand openings of Mi Cozumel and Bar on the Levee, with Cigars International set to open this fall.
