The New England Patriots have made their big moves in free agency, but they still continue adding to their roster. Among their latest signing was that of cornerback Kindle Vildor, who was brought in on a one-year, $1.4 million contract last week.

Let’s grade the signing based on everything we know.

Instant grades: Patriots sign CB Kindle Vildor

Bernd Buchmasser: Signing Vildor neither changes the fact that the Patriots should add more cornerback depth in the draft nor does it raise the team’s ceiling. What it does, however, is help stabilize the foundation at the position by adding a proven veteran to the mix. All that for a minimum financial impact makes for a solid signing. | Grade: B

Pat Lane: The Patriots need more depth in the secondary and on special teams, so they brought in Vildor. He has a lot of experience as a special teams player, and also has limited reps on defense too. Nothing flashy, but a decent pickup. | Grade: C

Andrew Guindon: Vildor provides more depth at cornerback and on special teams for summer camp. The Patriots should still look toward the draft for depth to compete with Charles Woods as the top rotational piece. | Grade: C-
