TELLER COUNTY, Colo. (KKTV) – Colorado Parks and Wildlife (CPW) released a new update on collared gray wolf activity in Colorado.
CPW released a map of the activity Wednesday, as seen at the top of this article, that highlights watersheds where at least one wolf location was recorded in March.
Last month, at least one gray wolf made its way into a watershed that crossed Pueblo County. However, this month, wolf activity was found around Teller County and counties further north.
CPW officials said some wolves have continued to make broad movements, while those in packs have developed territories and are not moving as broadly.
Officials said as wolves move into their denning season, CPW is working closely with producers to proactively use various resources on operations near localized wolf activity.
