COLORADO SPRINGS, Colo. (KKTV) – A shelter-in-place issued for Peterson Space Force Base Thursday night has been lifted.
A spokesperson for Space Base Delta 1 said the shelter-in-place order was issued at 6:46 p.m. as a precautionary measure due to a potential security concern.
According to the spokesperson, base first responders increased security measures to ensure the safety of personnel on the base.
As of 9:11 p.m., the shelter-in-place order has been lifted, and the spokesperson confirmed that there is no known ongoing threat at this time.
