LAS VEGAS (KSNV) — While the Athletics aren’t in Las Vegas just yet, the team celebrated the start of a new baseball season downtown on Thursday.
A’s legend Dave Stewart threw out the first pitch at the sportsbook inside Circa Las Vegas for the resort’s fourth annual “Take Me Out to Vegas” event.
“Opening day brings people together to celebrate baseball, and that energy is especially strong as the A’s prepare to arrive in Las Vegas,” Stewart said. “Baseball is stepping into a new era here and that was felt throughout the property today.”

A’s president Marc Badain and public address announcer Amelia Schimmel joined him for the festivities. As part of a partnership with the team, Circa announced it will give away an exclusive getaway package for a two-nigh stay for each A’s home win.
Fans can enter online at athletics-homewin-giveaway-2026.circalasvegas.com. Winners will be drawn after every home victory, and entries roll over for future drawings.
On top of the fun with the A’s, Circa gave out complimentary slices of apple pie. Moms also got to enjoy complimentary drinks throughout the day.
The A’s open the 2026 season on Friday at Toronto.
