Something’s prowling after dark.
A mysterious large wild animal has been spotted roaming around a small Central Valley town, sparking concern among residents and prompting a warning from local police.
Authorities in Gustine said they have received multiple reports — including Ring camera footage — appearing to show a mountain lion cub roaming through a residential neighborhood at night, according to KSEE24.

Police said there is “no immediate cause for alarm,” but urged residents to remain vigilant, particularly during early morning and evening hours when wildlife is most active.
officials also advised residents to closely supervise pets and avoid leaving food or other attractants outside that could lure wild animals into neighborhoods.
Community members are urged not to approach or attempt to interact with the animal if spotted.
Anyone who sees the cub — or any other large wild animal — is asked to contact Gustine Police Department at 209-854-1010. Those facing immediate emergency or threat should call 911.
