SIOUX FALLS, S.D. (Dakota News Now) – Celebrating its third anniversary in Downtown Sioux Falls, Preach-es hosted a men’s mental wellness forum, aimed at answering questions and opening up the dialogue when it comes to men’s mental health.
Partnering with Better South Dakota and Friends of Felix Brand, the event invited men in to talk through what’s on their mind, and assure them that whatever struggles they’re going through, they’re not alone.
It’s something the footwear and clothing store felt like it needed to do to help out Sioux Falls.
“A mentor once told me this. He said, ‘God forbid if Preach-es ever had to close its doors,’ would people be like, ‘Oh, I didn’t even realize they were closed,’ or would they be like, ‘No, what do we have to do to help them stay open? Because they’re making an impact in the community.’ That’s our heart. What can we do to really add value and make an impact within our community?” said founder and CEO Jonathon Vazquez.
The Source sponsored the event with coffee and pastries, with State Farm Insurance pitching in as well. Attendees were given gift bags valued at over 100 dollars.
