Star guard Steph Curry is moving closer to a return to game action for the Golden State Warriors.

Curry has been sidelined since late January with a knee injury, but he was recently given the green light to participate in a full five-on-five scrimmage, which is a major and necessary step towards a return.

But, while Curry might be moving closer to a return to game action, he’s not quite there yet. The star guard has been ruled out of Golden State’s game against the San Antonio Spurs on Wednesday night.
It will be the 26th consecutive game missed by Curry, whose last game action came against the Detroit Pistons on Jan. 30.
On the season, Curry has appeared in just 39 games for Golden State and posted averages of of 27.2 points, 4.8 assists, 3.5 rebounds and 1.1 steals per performance.

The game between Golden State and San Antonio will be the fourth and final of the season. The Warriors won the first two meetings, which were both in November, while the Spurs won the most recent matchup in February.
