Fort Myers police are searching for an individual considered armed and dangerous after responding to an active homicide scene at the Chevron gas station along Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. Boulevard.One victim is confirmed dead.The individual was last seen in the area of Dr Martin Luther King Jr. Boulevard and Highland Avenue, where Fort Myers police are currently on scene.Anyone with information is urged to contact FMPD at 239-321-7700.Lee County School District confirmed that three schools were placed on lockdown due to the search. The lockdown has since been lifted.The schools on lockdown were Success Academy, Young Parent Education Program and James Stephens Elementary.According to FMPD, there is an active scene and more information is to come.
