NOW, WHAT WE’VE BEEN TOLD SO FAR IS ALL FROM A PRESS RELEASE THAT CAME FROM THE NEW HAMPSHIRE ATTORNEY GENERAL’S OFFICE. THEY SAY EARLIER THIS MORNING AT A PRIVATE RESIDENCE HERE IN NORTHFIELD, THE AG’S OFFICE SAYS THAT OFFICERS WERE RESPONDING TO A DOMESTIC DISTURBANCE CALL THAT SOMEHOW ENDED WITH AN ADULT FEMALE BEING SHOT AND KILLED BY ONE OF THE RESPONDING OFFICERS. THE PRESS RELEASE FROM THE AG’S OFFICE DIDN’T INCLUDE ANY DETAILS ABOUT WHY THAT SHOOTING OCCURRED. THE IDENTITY OF THE WOMAN KILLED IS NOT BEING IDENTIFIED AT THIS TIME UNTIL NEXT OF KIN CAN BE NOTIFIED. THE SHOOTING IS UNDER INVESTIGATION, WITH THE AG’S OFFICE ADDING THAT THERE IS NO THREAT TO THE PUBLIC AT THIS TIME. A woman died early Monday after being shot by a police officer in Northfield, New Hampshire, officials said.Attorney General John M. Formella said the officer-involved shooting happened at a residence on Vine Street as police were called to a domestic disturbance. A woman was shot by one of the responding officers, Formella said. The woman, whose name was not released, died at the scene.The shooting remains under investigation. There is no known threat to the public at this time, officials said.On Saturday, police in Raymond, New Hampshire, were also involved in a fatal shooting. Police said Matthew J. Masse, 38, of Raymond, New Hampshire, opened fire from an abandoned home in Raymond, and later hit an officer from Nottingham. Officers made contact with Masse in a wooded area Saturday night when they attempted to take him into custody. There was an exchange of gunfire between Masse and the officers. Following that exchange, Masse was found dead.
