Rangers’ Jacob deGrom undergoes MRI after experiencing knee soreness

ARLINGTON — It’s Jacob deGrom. The Rangers are going to take every precaution.

DeGrom, 37, felt some soreness in his knee as he was warming up Monday, put a light knee brace on and pitched effectively with it for five innings. The Rangers chose not to “push it” any further. DeGrom said the knee was still mildly sore on Tuesday and the Rangers chose to send him for further evaluation.
