Cats do not like to be annoyed, and they don’t like being subtle, either. If something has made a cat angry, you’re going to be able to tell pretty quickly. For most cat parents, it’s one of the best things about them. There is no mistaking a cat’s true feelings.
Recently, one Tortoiseshell cat let her sister know she was getting on her nerves. The first hint, which was a bit more subtle than the next, didn’t get through. There was only one more thing to try. She went full snapping turtle:
Willow and Maple love each other… Most of the time. Sometimes, they really can’t stand each other. It’s mostly Willow who gets all snappy with her sister: Maple, the orange one, is just sitting there in this clip.
Most likely, Willow got upset about how much of their mom’s lap her sister was taking up. They’re supposed to share, after all! Honestly, I might get a little mad, too. She’s trying to nap. That’s serious business.

Maple seems to know better than to fight back, luckily. She probably did the first few times, but her big sister has put her in her place. She takes the high road most of the time, just turning the other cheek so that her sister won’t keep going. Luckily, Willow is easily distracted:
Note that it’s an orange cat straw topper she keeps biting. Seriously, girl, what is your problem with your sister?! She’s wild, but that’s what her mom loves about her.
Is It Normal For Cats to Fight?
Personally, I hate confrontation. I don’t have cats anymore, but when I was little, I hated it when our cats would fight. It’s scary!

Just like with every other species on the planet, pretty much, it’s normal for cats to fight a little. They live together and have very little opportunity to get away from each other, so there are going to be little things to fight over. They might include:

You should always keep an eye on a cat fight: most aren’t serious and will be over in a few seconds. If it persists or escalates, though, you absolutely need to break it up. Luckily, Willow didn’t go too far!
