‘Massive spider’ bites rock singer in the leg during tour with AC/DC

Touring with AC/DC isn’t easy for Pretty Reckless singer Taylor Momsen.

Momsen said on social media that she was bitten in the leg by a venomous spider while her band toured with AC/DC in Mexico. The bite required her to make a trip to the hospital.

The spider bite comes nearly two years after she was bitten by a bat during the middle of a song while performing, also during an AC/DC tour, People reports. Momsen had to get rabies shots following the incident.

“So it wouldn’t be an AC/DC tour if I didn’t get bit … this time a massive spider decided to take a chunk out of me and its venom did a number on my system,” Momsen wrote on social media. “So had to have the wonderful doctors in Mexico come and deliver quite the shot before the show last night … add it to the list! Spider woman? Batgirl?”

Momsen, 32, is a former actress, best known for portraying Cindy Lou Who in the Jim Carrey film “How the Grinch Stole Christmas” and for the TV show “Gossip Girl.”

She left acting in 2012 to concentrate on her music career.
