Ten-time WNBA All-Star Nneka Ogwumike announced her departure from the Seattle Storm in free agency Thursday, and on Friday she revealed she’s headed back to the Los Angeles Sparks.

Ogwumike spent the past two seasons with the Storm.

She had received interest from the Minnesota Lynx as well as the Sparks ahead of free agency, according to ESPN’s Alexa Philippou and Ramona Shelburne.

While the star forward will be turning 36 years old during the upcoming 2026 season, she showed that she still has plenty left in the tank during her 2025 campaign.

Ogwumike averaged 18.3 points, 7.0 rebounds and 2.3 assists per game while shooting 51.9 percent from the field and 36.7 percent from three-point territory.

The Sparks will now add a key veteran presence as they attempt to end a five-year playoff drought this season.
