Jannik Sinner was all smiles following his 20th consecutive ATP Masters 1000 victory on Friday at the Rolex Monte-Carlo Masters and his mood was boosted further when he caught up with Formula 1 star George Russell.

Russell watched Sinner’s straight sets win against Felix Auger-Aliassime from the Italian’s box and then enjoyed a brief chat with the 24-year-old after. The two stars shared a handshake and a laugh, quickly slipping into a quick easy conversation.

Mercedes driver Russell is a frequent visitor to the Masters 1000 event in Monte-Carlo, having previously caught up with Novak Djokovic in 2023. Read more here.

Sinner is chasing his maiden Monte-Carlo crown this week and will next face Alexander Zverev in the semi-finals. The No. 2 player in the PIF ATP Rankings has won consecutive Masters 1000 titles in Paris, Indian Wells and Miami.
