Here’s how to handle the water shortage

To the Editor:

How about this novel idea! Instead of increasing water rates, how about cutting them? I guarantee that the builder will be watering the new golf courses under way and the huge amount of new homes that will need lots of water for their lawns! A nice gesture for the many multi-millionaire Morse family to take the bullet instead of the homeowner for once! What will increasing the water rates help the water shortage? Those who may abuse the watering usage won’t change their watering habits because of an increase in their cost! Most of us are cognizant of the drought and will act accordingly! Don’t penalize the whole village for the transgressions of a few!
