A section of downtown Austin was closed Monday morning due to a water outage.
According to Austin Water, the city’s water utility, a water main break was reported on its website at 5:29 a.m.
The incident occurred at Red River and Sixth streets. A work crew is on site on 601 Sixth St. to address the outage.
Sixth and Red River Streets will remain closed, according to Austin Water. The crew is expected to remain on site until at least 11:30 a.m., according to the city’s website.
