It was a huge week for the Florida Gators and Texas A&M Aggies.
Florida jumped from No. 21 to No. 5 after beating Florida State in Tallahassee and taking two of three from Georgia in Gainesville. Texas A&M beat rival Texas twice in College Station (Game 3 was canceled) and climbed six spots to No. 8. The Aggies, who have won eight of their last nine SEC games, are tied for second in the league at 9-5 (a game and a half behind Georgia), while Florida is in fourth at 9-6.
Florida State tumbled six spots after losing at home to Florida and getting swept at Georgia Tech. Mississippi State’s slide continued; the Bulldogs dropped from No. 7 to No. 13 after getting swept at home (by Tennessee) for the second consecutive weekend.
Oregon is the only new team in the ranking. The Ducks are No. 24 after beating Nebraska in a key Big Ten series in Eugene. UCF dropped out after losing three games at Kansas.
