David Lascher is opening up about his short-lived run on Two of a Kind, the ABC sitcom starring Mary-Kate and Ashley Olsen in the late 1990s.
The show — the first television series the Olsen twins starred in following the end of Full House in 1995 — had a brief run, airing from September 1998 to July 1999.
Lascher, who gained fame on Nickelodeon’s Hey Dude, spoke about the show on the July 30 episode of the How Rude, Tanneritos! podcast hosted by Andrea Barber and Jodie Sweetin.

“I totally forgot about that,” Lascher said when the show was brought up by Barber. “You know what the joke is? I think I was involved in the only Olsen twins project that wasn’t a huge success.”
As Lascher noted, the show lasted just one season on ABC’s TGIF lineup.
“Like, literally, I got that role, and I played Uncle Matt,” Lascher said. “I’m like, oh, this is gonna be like Full House. I’m gonna be on a job for, like, 10 years… And I don’t know what happened.”
Still, Lascher said the show was fun to be a part of.
“It was so funny, an amazing cast,” he said, adding that the Olsens were “preteens” at the time but “so professional and so sweet.”
“I loved working with them,” he said. “But yeah, it was like half a season and done.”
Lascher currently co-hosts the Hey Dude… The 90’s Called! podcast alongside his former co-star, Christine Taylor.
