The Indiana Fever lost another player in WNBA free agency. This team has made a lot of moves by re-signing key players and also adding new faces to the mix. Along with these developments come the inevitable loss of some players who have decided to take their talents elsewhere.
This includes 5-foot-8 guard Odyssey Sims, who has signed a one-year deal with the Dallas Wings.
Sims parts ways with the Fever after one season with the team. She signed with Indiana as a mid-season recruit in 2025 amid the team’s myriad of injuries. The one-time All-Star played 12 games in the regular season, averaging 10.3 points, 18 rebounds and 4.0 assists in 26.4 minutes.

Sims also started all eight playoff games for Indiana last season. She put up 14.1 points, 4.4 assists and 1.4 steals and was a key cog for the Fever’s postseason run. They defeated the Atlanta Dream in the first round before bowing out to the eventual champions, the Las Vegas Aces, in the semifinals.
The Fever took to social media to send a parting message to Sims on Thursday.
“thank you for everything, Odyssey ❤️” the teams posted on Instagram.
Sims will now return to Dallas after suiting up for the Wings in 2023. She will be part of a backcourt rotation led by reigning Rookie of the Year Paige Bueckers and No. 1 overall pick Azzi Fudd.
Sims and the Wings face the Fever on April 30 in a preseason game. Dallas will also open its 2026 campaign against Indiana on May 9 at Gainbridge Fieldhouse.
