Mwenentanda signs training camp contract with Valkyries

SIOUX FALLS, S.D. (KELO) — Sioux Falls native Ndjakalenga Mwenentanda signed a training camp contract with the Golden State Valkyries this week.

The Washington standout began her college career at Texas and then transferred to Vanderbilt this last season. She averaged a career-best 7 points and 3.5 rebounds a game with Commodores as they had one of the best seasons in program history.

Golden State is entering the franchise’s second year of existence and reached the playoffs last season. The 2026 WNBA season tips off May 8.
